Those horns sound like the Mardi Gras horns. And @Virgil, it's not about the volume, but the clarity. All the members should still present a clear sound with fewer people.

A lot of our band members were on the Pro-Life Conference in Washington D.C. We only had two first trumpets in attendance. The band is bigger than last year. With that said there is still no excuse for the trumpets to sound that way.

Whoa! Sounds like trumpet section was hit pretty hard by academic woes. Plus, the band looks a lot smaller. It's alright though, I have faith that you guys will be back on track for parade season. Now lets go practice Big Purple.
