I'm convinced that some of yall niggas fast fowarding St. Aug songs and listening to just Carver. Yeah their lower brass was holding them down heavy that year, but we were fighting through 40+ trumpets and still heard clearly as opposed to Carver's 15-18 trumpets fighting through their lower brass and somewhat struggling to be heard (besides Parlow).
St. Aug was never too much too handle.lol. Most of their band always consisted of trumpets.(any good band should atleast have a 2:1 trumpet too b-tone, mello ratio imo)
Carver had the lower brass sections on lock this year.
St. Aug was a little too much for Carver to handle that year. Unfortunately, there was really no good place to stand for the camera man; either he was too close or favoring one section. Nevertheless, good battle. IMO St. Aug under the direction of Mr. Fields were the loudest St. Aug bands ever.
