  • @Que After looking at the clip LC posted, I have a change of heart. LOL! "The Hammer!!!"
  • Here's sledgehammer from 86-87

  • Nah! That was Augnation and I senior year, and anytime we got tired of playing with a band we just told the drum majors it was time to drop the Hammer and end this shit. Even though we had songs like The Rain, Crazy, Candy, Conga, Sweet Freedom, Headlines, and many more power tunes all started from that year. It was Sledge Hammer that did everyone in. Every band after us hasn't been able to sustain the power of the song from beginning to end, because it's such a demanding tune. So they would play it at a moderate volume until they got to the vamp and then cut loss, but we played it full from the top to the bottom.
  • @AUGNATION I don't know, bruh. While Sledgehammer was a beast, the true power of the song didn't come until the end of the song,
  • It was 86-87 my Sr year.

@ mlmkwm: "The Rain" was powerful no doubt, but in 87,the Rain came behind "Sledgehammer" in the power category.

  • @Musicology there is no "video" of this. It's a audio recording from either 86-87 or 87-88
  • Haha...I made this video.lol.
  • Man...when the Aug would play this I used to feel sorry for whoever was on the other end. This is IMO the most powerful song St. Aug played in the 80's and 90's.
