The Military aspect of the band is derived from the way we execute not the way we entertain. A lot of people don't even know that St. Aug. used to dance in the street during parades in the 70's. What makes St. Aug. the Marching 100 is that we are so diverse. We can be in a BOTB against Brother Martin, Holy Cross, and Shaw and take house with our shows. Then next week go to a BOTB against 35, John Mac, and Carver and drill the piss out of them. Check out the clips I just post, because people don't realize that we weren't as militant as y'all think.
St.Aug is supposed to have a resemblance to a military band. That is what made them stand out. They are bringing to much of the other stuff into the band. The waving of the flags, and ive seen the drum section do a lot of what southern does. Like it was said earlier; dont get caugh't slippin you never know when a camera is rolling. They have improved a lot might I add but St.Aug is built toward tradition. They have to understand and remember who the Marching 100 is. And definitely who Edwin Hampton was.

the "Big Chief" St. Aug has played in the past was only a short exerpt from a tune called by "Carnival Show" written by Adrian Watkins...
the band director brought that song in last year and its the same song that is played during the Rouses Commercial.......
is this the same arrangement they always played?
