St. Augustine - 1985 (MardiGras) - Marching Band Videos

This is actually a parade held for 1 of the elementary schools in this neighborhood...

THIS IS THE LOWER 9TH WARD ON ST.CLAUDE AVE heading towards the Industrial Canal.....

On the left is McDonogh # 19,1 of the first N.O.Public Schools to integrate(along w/Frantz Elementary in the Upper 9th Ward)...

On the right,you'll see the Original Burger Orleans fast food restaurant(a local chain).

This entire area was under 12-18 feet of water when the barge broke the levees @ the Industrial Canal.Nothing in this picture has reopened to date..
