LOL! I never said anything about who was cutting through who, I seen both sections in person before and yes 14K has a good tuba section when it comes to lows, I just wanted to make it clear that SU tubas arent as bad as people make it seem, I honestly cannot see them playing on a brass horn, they makin those fiberglass horns work! and it takes a hell of alot of talent to play on a fiberglass horn
i have played on a fiberglass before and it is indeed sucky, but alcorn made it work back in the day so y cant they?.... and as for you people who say su tubas won the tuba battle i c u say they cut thru lmao, THEY BETTER CUT THRU IF DA CAMERA ON DEY SIDE AND DEY PLAYN HI NOTES,... "The human ear is more sensitive to high sounds, so they may seem louder than a low noise of the same intensity" ( www.ndt-ed.org/.../HighSchool/Sound/components.htm (notice it says hi skoo so u shud already know bout this already, seein u graduated and such)) but if u observed when they was playn hi u cud still hear da k on the lows from the OTHER side of the field, SO WHO WAS REALLY CUTTIN THRU? cuz its harder to push lows and cut thru hi notes while the camera being on the opposite side.... for this reason.. along with various other reasons, as in tone, articulation, intonation, etc... is the reason the K won this battle
The only loud note SU played was a high F. And I noticed from this clip yall really lacked bottom. sorry if wanna go at it with the K...yu gone have to do more than just play high. yu play tuba. not BTONE......if yu can't understand that then yu should play the instrument.
SN: this is a really biased clip so....yea.
su tubas gotta be the most janky tuba section in the world...da K louder and they jam...how many times su play that same lil lick...and that hoe was sloppy...get outta here man...
