  • I'm an SU/St. Aug oldhead. Yes, this high school event happened but NOBODY in the SU band took this as any type of a battle.
  • You're right! SU was definitely SU that day, and St. Aug, although not as polished as SU, was a beast that was obviously above the highschool level that year.
  • Everything we played back then was a "power song"; marches, school songs, ballads, etc. Yall played a song and we played a song. The crowd was entertained, and that's all that really matters. Also, if you were in the band at the time, Michael was in the band also. You should know him. And I did like yall arrangement of Lies.
  • LOL! To say this is a "so called battle" is just like saying the battle never really existed. However, it looks and sounds like SU was playing their power songs, and blowing pretty hard, as if St. Aug got under their skin and tested their manhood. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like SU responded to every song St. Aug played, which can easily be perceived as an actual battle, instead of a so called battle. Please tell "Michael Nedd, a Purple Knight alum (lol)" to post the entire battle, especially when both bands played "Lies" by En Vogue.
  • That wasn't all of the footage of the so called "battle". Michael Nedd, a Purple Knight alum, has complete footage of this performance from a different angle. His footage shows St. Aug. band members in awe while standing in front of Southern playing Call Him Up.
  • Thank you for posting the whole battle without any interruption. It's funny because some old head SU cats Swear-Fo-God this battle never happened. LOL!
