In my day, Tennessee State pretty much had one of the largest and diverse Books among HBCU Bands period. I want to say I remember drilling to the 227 Theme Song one year.

From a bandhead standpoint, you get more points from me for playing something this (or A Night in Tunisia) than playing your standard rap tune.

Power wise, Tennessee State has never been a major heavy hitter to me, BUT its always been the diversity of their book and sound quality that puts them among the Top HBCU Bands.

Doc people's mentality of band is so shot these days that's why high school programs are in the state they are now....that clip sounds excellent...

Youngster's Tennessee State has always been known for the diversity of their book. This was during the game, not a 5th Quarter piece.
