  • IDK if su people are aware of this but yall aint the only band that crank, yall dont have a patent on it either. and if you actually listen or styles are nothing alike jus volume but i guess thats all you pay attention to
  • If you watch Michigan State's Color guards marching with Big Ten Conference flags, like our color guards march with catholic league school flags. The uniformity ( at least we tried to achieve many times), the esprit de corps of the marching unit (Mr. Hamp's used to always talk about this when we were dragging in practice), and of course the discipline (which is somewhat lacking in todays Marching 100 because of the absence of the board, but I digress).

  • Hmm...St. Aug looks more like the 100 than Michigan to me.
And Michigan st was FIRST. Not that it diminishes UofM. Butler went to UofM.
  • who is jax35

  • its no secret our former bands directors received masters/doctorate degrees from u of m. how many simliarites in this drill do you see us mimic. since someone brought up imitation jax35 whats your excuse for copying us since 2000... i'll wait
  • @ blessedBOOMbton-05, LOL at the SU joke.

But most black college bands were based upon the templates of white bands because they were the only examples for the black directors to follow. But I think SU is more based upon Michigan State's marching style. I went to St. Aug (High school in NO) and our setup, from color guards marching with district flags to marching style is simular to Michigan State's style. I even think FAMU has some traces of white college bands.

  • They remind me of some band I've seen before but I'm not sure who..... Oh well often imitated never duplicated lol
  • Respect!!!
