su is better but I like the go-go version also
Quit it Bama St owns this song and have owned it since 2010
I like HU but I think AAMU plays it nicely as well.
The only thing I like about it is the percussion... Nothing else stands out to me in comparison to the others I've heard
Its Not about playing it "The Best", Its playing it the "Right way" in relation to the original song. SU cant produce that "Go Go" Feel. Why? 1.) NO Melodic Toms (Multi Tom/Tonal Basses) which replicates "Conga Drums". 2) Yes SU is Funky and Go Go is a blend of Funk But Go Go Requires a lot of "Groove" to back that Funk whom SU fails at with their playing style and Percussion..3) Obviously unlike SU, Howard is Located in the Birth Place of "Go Go Music" so They have that advantage. The only other HBCU that does the Genre well is BCU's "Da Butt" which does Mid 80's Go Go well though the arrangement could be alil more Groovy.
oh please....su plays this the best hands down..
