Thunder Soul Trailer(If your a true bandhead/musician you would go see this movie)

yeah i've been waiting for this for a while.. i swear man. stage / funk band .. they don't come like that anymore unless you attend a special school like townview.. Much respect to the late great Conrad Johnson.

I always wanted someone here in N.O. to do something similar in this day in age.. Back then, that Era was calling for that kind of music... Same as the T.S.U. Toronado's.. or Archie bell and the Drells out of Houston. we had people like Erma Thomas and The Neville Family doing what was R&B Soul back then.. on top of that we had Jazz bands and Brass bands here.. but it didn't get the same kind of play as Funk..

The irony of this being posted here is that i was just holding a conversation with someone about This very thing.. I love it all

I was fortunate to see a special screnning of this film last year at TMEA and it was AMAZING! If this doesn't inspire you, nothing will. I am glad to have played with Conrad and his Stage Band during my high school days.
