TnSU Drumline playing Universal

CRATS,

You guys are playing "Universal" to slow, which takes away from the power and groove of the cadence. Whoever has spread the cancer that playing slow makes things groove can not be a muscian. The current band seems to play everything to slow....way to slow...and the chops are not clean. I wrote this cadence in 1992 while going through RAT PATROL and taught it to the my line. Some of my brothers refined and added some of the tenor and bass sticking and we played it for the first time homecoming 1992 after we became AristocRATs. There are two more parts of the cadence that you guys didnt play for whatever reason. Universal was a very simple and non technical cadence and we use to march to it as well. For some reason, and its not you all fault, universal has been passed down incorrectly i.e. tempo, wrong dynamics and accents but I will be back homecoming 2012 hopefully we can all play together, i'm old but I aint lost it that much. It just a "Wha Laa" show!!!!!
