Woodwind intonation on point! Sounds like a Holsinger piece...wat is it? Anyway...the music is very percussive. Would have been nice to hear a little better rhythmic accuracy from the brass...particularly the upper voices. Would have been even better to hear a more exciting interpretation of the accents in those percussive parts the woodwinds are mimicking throughout the piece. Better transition from the funk section back into the percussive woodwinds parts. Again, better emphasis of the accents. Would be nice to hear some darker tones from the brass after the legato section and throughout.
Overall, awesome sound!!! You guys are defintely the amongst the elite of HBCU wind ensembles. Keep it up! And keep pushing the bar!!!!!
