  • jsu z's komin bk!
  • liked su song choice.... the only thing that truly bothers me is.... there is no power from the tubas or drum section.... they z's fiya but.... every instrument whether marching, symphonic, orchestra, jazz, or concert is just as important as the next.... su has a dry sound because of the type of drums and tubas.... so their arrangements sound dry instead of full.... also su does play unison parts as well so does jsu.... its just the way the arrangers write the music go listen to everything u listened to from this battle with headphones and listen to the clarity and content of the songs played.... im from jackson and not gone be biased but listen to the songs even with the arrangement for Love the Way you Lie.... jsu sounded fuller because of the drum section and the tubas....
  • That Monica killed everything that had been played up until that point
  • this round su's "fuc8kin u tonite" was f'in rockin and Boom played the sh*t outta bump n grind, then su killed it wit that ballad called "LAWDHAMMERCY"
  • I dont want to hear a Jag saying the word arrangement this year. I grew up listening to the jukebox and I can honestly say, you guys arrangement aint bout all that either. I can tell Knighten gone very easily. But this is what kills me. SU talk about sounding good, overall I will take JSU sound over SU anytime. Now dont get sound and power confused. SU has power, but JSU has a better overall sound from woodwinds to T-bones. I will give you an example if SU and JSU took the same band and had a marches battle. I promise you JSU will have a better Sound. By the Way people say the people say the best song SU played was How did you get here. To be totally honest the only part of that arrangement that gave it its meaning was the B-tones holding a half note by themselves, other than that, that arrangement is Pooh compared to an arrangement like FAMU.
  • TREYG YOU WOULD BE RIGHT IN A DJ BATTLE.. TOO BAD THIS IS MARCHING BAND AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO SOUND GOOD PLAYING THE SONGS... YOU HAVE TO HAVE GOOD SOLID ARRANGEMENTS.. AND UHHMMM... JSU IS LACKING IN THAT..

BUT YOU WOULD BE RIGHT IF THE NAMES OF THE SONGS WERE THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERED...
  • ending from su on that ruff ryders was the sloppiest i ever heard it.... that song used to bring tears to my eyes
  • You know what I look at these clips over and over. And its very clear JSU won this zero quarter. Think about it old tunes:
Ruff Ryders (99) to old < This way (04).. JSU wins
    Loving U Tonight (09) = Bump N Grind... Even
Love All Over Me (2010) = Purple Rain...Even... Crowd Participation Prince (JSU) New Hit Song (2010) SU
***Trumpets missed at the end of Love all over me to*** But Good Arrangement
