Attention High School Band Members!!!!!!!!Texas Southern University High School Band Camp will be held on July 12th - 17th 2009 on the campus of Texas Southern University. Invitation is extended to all high school band members (7th -12th) who desire to learn a little bit about what Texas Southern has to offer. Classes are offered in Theory to assist students as well as the MARCHING BAND EXPERIENCE with "the most exciting band on the PLANET". The camp concludes with an field show performance that will leave you and your parents breathless.Please check our website at www.tsu.edu/bands for more details

    This camp provides specialized instruction in the following tracks:
    Drum Major
    Dancer
    Twirler
    Color Guard
    Wind Instruments
    Percussion
    It is the ONLY camp we know of that also teaches classes on band leadership with guest lecturers from succesful band programs and businesses. It is the ONLY camp we know of with sponsorship from music manufacturers providing product literature and GIVEAWAYS! , It is the ONLY camp we know of that teaches skills you will use no matter what style your band marches. It is the ONLY camp we know of that doesn't just teach you the "What" but the "How" and the "Why" as well!
