Good Evening fellow Bandheads. This is Chet-u-Betcha coming now with the latest in Bandhead interest.Its almost common knowledge as to what happened at the 2009 Honda BOTB. Jackson State came into what many people believed to be FAMU territory, and as one excited fan put it, "Shut that muthaf(&* DOWN son."Some complaints arose over the decision of Jackson States trumpets to extend the length of the last note on the opening selection which all the bands performed. When confronted as to the reasoning behind this decision by a member of the Marching 100, well known TrumpFunk screamer, Damien, replied with many obscenities. Apparently The Royal Order of TrumpFunk does NOT give a f***.But most of the conflicts arose over Jackson States field entrance, when the band aimed and excecuted a overwhelmingly powerful selection in FAMU's direction. Most fans recognize this as normal since the band turns 45 degrees to the left before every field performance, but one videographer made the quote, "They blowin at FAM." I'm goin to just point out that whether FAMU was right in front of us or not the whole band was gonna face in that direction for the drummajor salute. and the fact that we blew on famu(the look on their faces were PRICELESS) was just a plus. it was not planned. The drummajor salute was for the crowd. TF!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND as far as the screaming during the honda. all I can say is what I always say. ALL the hatin over jackson state trumpets is hilarious and all the haters just mad that no trumpet section comes close to the whole section of TF. and that was pretty much proven in the tunnel cuz no other trumpet sections wanted to step up and play. and some random guy from TXSU that's apparently had ''4 stacks'' that they were better, just wanted to talk junk then get his trumpet section to play. so what's that tell you?
Im just gone put it like this FAMU and JSU always been at the top for HBCU bands. I mean we just need to get JSU on the schedule and let them know wat the deal is cause the rest of the world already knows
It has always been a rivalry but not as nearly as intense as TNSU vs FAMU or FAMU vs SU! JSU and FAMU don't see each other enough for that to happen! The majority of FAMU still think JSU is beneath them, that's how FAMU thinks about everyone, so to ask you if this the next major rivarly, it may be on JSU's part but not on FAMU's part!
well friom the 03 circle city famu took that but this is a whole new band now and group of players but famu and jsu i dont see them playing no time soon unless that bham battle of bands again
