This season was was exciting on behalf of the football team
for the band the Season was good, New Suits, Average Ocean sound, Nice Book of Battle worthy tunes & great timing gave TxSU's band the upperhand in many battles.
Field shows were typical yet repetitive.( but that was expected)
Section Wise I think The Baritones and Mellos were the sections of the year...
Ocean put dere mark on the SWAC. Def got some of the betta arrangements n a conference wheres gud arrangements r n decline. Still got this NSU app waitin on u.
Tbh txsu is one of the best bands and as far as arrangements and sound they are real nice Thts one of the reasons I want to attend to tell yu the truth for their size they be getting cross tht field. The only thing Thts getting worse is the size tho it's like y'all keep getting smaller what's up wit the recruiting Thts probably why y'all dnt get tht much props
The Ocean of Soul is a great music program and is only striving to go up.The thing they've been lacking is size (especially trumpets) to bring out the complete sound of the arrangements. Hopefully, if they are able to recruit more upper brass this year, I can see nothing but great things for the Ocean this fall.
well from the inside i can honestly say this year was a great year for us...the only thing lacking is size in the trumpet section, which was our main downfall...with only 18 competing against 13 mellos, 13 btones and 20+ bones, it was easy for us to get lost.

... IMO 2010 season was Standard Ocean.
TxSU is stepping up, big time.
