The wearing of 'gloves'(white in particularly here in this 'Classic' 'Z-Phi-28' '76 photo) is to accentuate 'stickin' / 'flashin' when & wear ever they brought the 'HEAT' to any & every performance! In the most simplfied expression...'Pure Showmanship'!!! A standard for all HBCU BANDS! Especially in the '70's! Also an 'Military' protocol of uniformity,...Class 'A' Dress-Code!!! Something that needs to be really, and I mean really re-established, or exercised by HBCU's currently!!!
