  and i left some info out lol....originally there was an elementary school(across the street) AND the junior high school NAMED AFTER MR LAWLESS..both new constructions in the 1960s........sometime in the 1980s the junior high became a high school..
  
  students back in the day called the grade school "LIL LAWLESS".......
  
  U know down South everything is "LIL" not "LITTLE" lol

  actually Mr Alfred Lawless was a minister and an educator.........
  
  .Not only was this new(1960s) junior high school (Lower 9th Ward) named after him ;the LAWLESS CHAPEL on the campus of DILLARD UNIVERSITY NEW ORLEANS is also named in his honor..
