MRS STAMPS was a trained vocal music teacher but was hired to teach instrumental music.
During the summer of her hire ,she attended graduate school in Chicago @ Chicago Music College to learn as much as possible about instrumental music.
Many music teachers/band directors from the South attended Chicago Music College for graduate studies.
Later she and the talented and equally gifted teacher, MS KEE ,both studied @ Northwestern University for additional instrumental music education.
MANY of the Northern colleges & universities had a huge hand in educating Black music majors during SEGREGATION!!!!!
