I don't hate the bOOM dude.....wdh. Thanks Malcolm for that clarification....and yes. Word of advice young'in when you start arranging, listen to the song first. LOL
well talking in ur sleep was actually written by terrance brock...btone player for TxSU...both arrangements were done by student arrangers and we all see who's arrangement was clearly better lol
The Ocean sounds really good. Some tone issues here and there. JSU sounds good but tht they trying to push arrangements that aren't written for intensity and power. That dynamite trombone section and WT is. What shines along with the color of the woodwinds but those rrangements...you guys are pushing parts written iin the lower middle ranges and the way ya'll push all that brss power it makes it sound immature
JSU....were you only listening to TxSou when you arranged "Talking"? Scrap that arrangement. High school? Your sound was ok...thinner than usual...but ok at best. That was a fail. Gibsons Talking was arranged in step with the ctual song. JSU's parts sound like they arranged it for another instrumentation
it's funny you say jsu's arrangement made txsu's arrangement sound like a high school but you've never heard the song.Txsu's actually sounds more like the song...The Romantics(an 80's rock band) sings talking in your sleep.. good job to both bands in this round

JSt.3-5 (aka Pot) stop accusing TxSU of sounding HS'ish.
TxSU 4- JSt.-1
how can you say an arrangement sounds high-schoolish and you NEVER HEARD THE SONG?
just to show people are reaching TOO HARD now because they critique an arrangement of a song they never heard before. LOL
smh
