  • I've heard both arrangements and i like both!....i think Mr. Haymer did a nice job on this arrangement.....being an arranger myself i believe that some of the older arrangemnets just dont work for the newer bands....the songs in the 80's were written fot the bands in the 80's...just an opinion....(crab year 1992)

  • first of all, the 1987 arrangement is no longer in Southern's library, so does that say 1987 SU owns that song? I think not! Mr. Haymer wanted to play Dance With Somebody so we did. He has that right as an arranger. Secondly, '87's arrangement was for a drill versus '10's arrangement which was for the dolls which we used for Homecoming and P.V. Two totally different styles and arranging formats. If you ask me, nothing was wrrong with the arrangement , just a matter of taste and opinion. I don't agree with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" when it is no longer an option!

  • awww man come on now juke. I am a die hard su fan but if it aint broke dont fix it(1987) That was definatly not yall best arrangement. It sounded disfunctional. But all in all im behind yall 100% much love
  • 1987... Enough said.
  • no it's pretty good but 87's was groovin a lil more
  • 87' version is better but I think this one is not far behind!!
  • Honestly, I'll have to listen to it a thousand more times to be able to give it a fair assessment...LOL. 87's version is drilled too deep right now.
  • ok but not as good as the original version...87
  • I'm liking this
